Metro Man, the mascot from Metro Bank’s Hemel Hempstead store, became a superhero for a day.
He joined the town’s Heroes and Villains one day festival hosted by the Riverside Shopping Centre and supported by the local Hemel BID committee.
As part of the drive to encourage consumers back to the High Street the Hemel BID committee also organised a pop-up market.
David Byrne, store manager of Metro Bank said: “Metro Man was a huge hit with the younger children who loved having a friendlier face to approach, compared to some of the more grown-up costumes on display. They were all really pleased to see him again.
“It was a great event, and it was a pleasure to be involved again in fun activities like this.”
David and Metro Bank local director, Kevin Brammer are members of the Hemel BID committee.
As a community bank, Metro Bank was very keen to find a safe way to take part and support this fantastic community event which helped attract lots of residents into town on the day.
