A house in Croxley was left in a messy state following a burglary seemingly carried out by multiple offenders.
The incident is believed to have taken place sometime between 7:30pm and 7:50pm on Saturday, October 15, at an address in Watford Road.
Entry to the property was forced by the perpetrators, who then carried out an untidy search that left the house looking a mess, before making off with several items. The number of items taken by the thieves is currently unclear to investigators.
Police enquiries are ongoing, but the wake of the incident, the force has offered advice to residents on how to prevent crime from occurring in the home.
This includes locking all windows and doors at night, keeping keys and valuables out of sight, ensuring side gates are locked and fencing is secure and keeping tools and ladders in a locked shed.
They also advise several security products that help make homes more secure, including doorbell cameras, internal cameras, a monitored burglar alarm and ‘dusk to dawn’ external lightning.
