Chalfont St Peter lost to Hanwell Town at home this afternoon (Saturday, January 25), with a final score of 1-2.
The match started off fairly uneventful, with both sides battling to get on the scoresheet for the first half of the game.
In the 37th minute, Chalfont took the lead with a goal from Daniel Williams. 1-0.
Not long afterwards, the Saints went down to 10 men after the referee showed Kayode Conteh a second yellow card and gave Hanwell a penalty.
Ogochukwu Obi scored from the spot in the 45th minute, leaving the two sides even just before the break. 1-1.
The away team took the lead just nine minutes into the second half as Rob Lanley stuck the ball past Sam Freeman.
Chalfont battled to equalise in the second half, making a number of changes to the side and having a number of chances, however these failed to materialise and Hanwell Town ended up taking all three points.
Chalfont St Peter AFC Tweeted: “Disappointed to have lost that, thought we battled well in the second half and maybe deserved a point. Thanks very much for your support again this afternoon and safe journey home.”
