An existing metal sign in Ruislip has sparked considerable attention from residents, raising questions about its original installation date.
The sign, which reads Manor Parade, is believed to have been in place for several years, though the exact date of its installation is not known.
One resident told NORTHWOOD&RUISLIPnews that they became curious about the sign after noticing it during regular walks through the area. They added that they were interested to learn more about its background and precise timing.
At the time NORTHWOOD&RUISLIPnews went to print there was no public information confirming the timeline for when the sign was erected.
After a photo of the elegant metal detailing was shared on Facebook on Wednesday, January 7, several people responded to the post praising the craftsmanship.
One person commented: “That’s beautiful. I wonder what year this would have been made. In older times, there were lots of local blacksmiths.”
The sign remains a small but distinctive feature of the town, prompting ongoing interest from the community.
Hillingdon Council has been contacted for comment.
