Stanmore Choral Society (SCS) has been praised after a successful concert at St Mary-the-Virgin Church in Kenton on Saturday, October 26.
The event, which SCS said on Facebook featured music by Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin and arrangements of spirituals by Sir John Rutter CBE and Florence Price, was hailed as a success.
Posting on Facebook after the concert, Gloria Whittle said: “What a beautiful concert we attended last night. The choral work was excellent, the venue was inspiring, and the society needs to be congratulated on such a professional night all round.
“A shout out also for the team of supporters who were assisting behind the scenes.”
In a post on the society’s Facebook page on Monday, October 28, SCS praised their “fantastic” soloist Rachael Best-Babayeju, who performed on the night.
The society’s next performance is a Christmas concert at St Mary-the-Virgin Church in Kenton on Saturday, December 14.
