Bika Construction, a development company, has had a planning application approved by Hillingdon Council to convert the former Ruislip Lloyds Bank building into residential apartments.
Despite previous plans being rejected, the approval finally came through on Friday, January 16, 2026, stating that works could go ahead. The former banking branch closed its doors to the public on March 13, 2024.
The project involves transforming the first floor from office space (class E) to residential use (class C3) creating five self-contained flats.
The site is a Locally Listed building within the Ruislip Village Conservation Area. The designs look to retain the front of the building but introduce modest rear extensions.
All units have met the London Plan internal space standards. The scheme is proposed to include an enlarged communal terrace and access to nearby public open spaces. The development is not expected to cause unacceptable harm regarding privacy, outlook, daylight/sunlight, or noise.
A report by Hillingdon Council read: “The development hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of three years from the date of this permission.”
The applicant has been contacted for comment.
