A tortoise found at a school in Abbots Langley has been reunited with its owners after it was missing for a whole year.
Henry the tortoise, named after Thierry Henry, was found on the playing fields at Bedmond Academy in the village before being reunited with its owners.
After discovering the reptile, the school took to Facebook to share an appeal for the pet’s owners.
A spokesperson for the school said they were delighted to reunite the tortoise which had been missing for more than a year.
They said: “We are so pleased for the owner’s Caroline and Jay.
“Jay, Caroline’s son has had him since the age of 10 and he is now 28 so a very special reunion was had and such lovely moment for them both and for us, the children will miss him!”
