Harrow Council is inviting Pinner residents to respond to its draft Parks and Open Spaces Strategy.
Residents are invited to share their views on how the council should manage its parks over the next five years as part of an eight-week consultation.
The council is committing more than £6million over the next three years to enhance the area’s parks, with improvements including upgraded footpaths, refreshed playgrounds, and more inclusive spaces.
The strategy focuses on five key themes: preservation and enhancement; quality and accessibility; nature and sustainability; health and wellbeing; and community.
Councillor Janet Mote, portfolio holder for community and culture, said: “Over 20 per cent of land in our borough is either a park or an open space; they are one of Harrow’s greatest assets – and we know how much they matter to our residents. This strategy sets out how we plan to improve and protect these spaces for everyone to enjoy.”
The consultation is open for comments until Monday, July 14, at www.shorturl.at/XusDr
