The very popular Croxley Green Annual Home and Produce show will return on Saturday, September 13 at Yorke Mead Primary School, Dulwich Way. The doors will open for visitors at 14:30.
The show welcomes new and old exhibitors with exhibition items in many categories including Preserves and Bakes, Flower Arrangements, Vegetables, Flowers, Fruit, Handicrafts, Photography and many classes for children aged from 3 to 16, and a category for Primary schools and Youth groups. Making a popular return is of course the Heaviest Marrow!
There is something for everyone, with many new exhibition items this year. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each exhibition item as well over 25 cups and medals awarded in many categories.
A spokesperson for the show said: “This show has been running for over 100 years. We are all amateurs; we do this for fun. The only professionals are the judges. We take great pleasure seeing the creativity and passion in our local community, making us feel proud to be part of a great tradition in Croxley Green.
“If you are thinking of entering, please remember that the closing date is Tuesday, September 9.”
The website gives lots of information including tips to help with your exhibits.
Exhibitors pay a small entry fee to cover costs but entry to the show in the afternoon is free. Refreshments, including a delicious range of homemade cakes will be provided and there will also be a raffle with many generous prizes donated by the Croxley Green community.
