Herts FA has confirmed the winners of the England Football Grassroots Awards for 2022.
In the words of the FA, these awards recognise and celebrate the people that put their heart and soul into the grassroots game in Hertfordshire and say a huge thank you to the volunteers who inspire us all.
The winners were selected by a panel of judges drawn from across Hertfordshire football, following nominations made by the public across a range of different categories.
The FA’s aim with these awards is to recognise people who have made a real difference, rising to overcome challenges, and making a truly positive impact in their community.
All nine winners are individuals and organisations that were recognised by the FA for bringing football to everyone in their communities and creating a positive playing environment for all to enjoy the game.
Raiders was the only club awarded.
The club also runs inclusive football for people with physical and neurological disabilities, walking football, and the increasingly popular Futsal format.
Chris Armond, Raider’s chair of trustees, said: “I’m absolutely delighted with this news, it’s a genuine honour for the club to be recognised in this way. On behalf of the whole club, I’d like to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers, staff, parents and players who give their time and passion to making the club what it is.”
