GOOD NEWS: Post office to move to newly built shop after major redevelopment

A temporary Post Office has operated in Chipperfield since June 2021, following the closure of previous branch due to redevelopment of the area.

The garden centre where Chipperfield Post Office had been based has been demolished and new housing built.

A Post Office counter will be alongside the retail counter of the brand-new convenience store at Chapel Croft, Chipperfield, Kings Langley, WD4 9EG.

The opening hours of the new branch will be Monday – Friday: 9.30am – 4.30pm; Saturday: 9.30am – 12.30pm.  This will offer 38 hours of Post Office service a week for the convenience of customers.

The current Post Office service will close at the temporary location on Tuesday, May 24 at 4.30pm. It is due to open Saturday, May 28 at 9.30am.

During the interim alternative branches include,  Kings Langley Post Office on Hempstead Road and Sarratt Post Office, on The Green.

Graham Simmons, Post Office Network Provision Lead said: “We are delighted to be restoring a permanent Post Office in Chipperfield in this newly-built shop as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.”
