Watford keeper, Heurelho Gomes has delighted fans by signing a one year contract extension at Vicarage Road.
The news was announced on Watford FC’s twitter page today which has delighted fans who were eager for the Brazilian to stay.
This comes after Gomes said that he was “99 per cent” sure that last season would be his last which has been responded to by Watford FC in another tweet saying “Don’t believe everything you read… 1%”
Calls for Gomes to stay another year were voiced by fans, players and manager, Javi Gracia who said he “would like for him to stay with us more time”.
It was announced shortly after the FA Cup final that Gomes was in talks with the Hornets about extending his contract.
