This year the 3rd Croxley Green Rainbows are marking a special anniversary, 30 years of the group being in the village.
Thousands of children aged 5-7 in Croxley Green have passed through the unit over the past 30-years and made special memories within Girlguiding.
Rainbow leader Fiona Gauden has volunteered as ‘Sunny’ at the Rainbows unit for more than a decade and previously helped out within the organisation as a Brownie leader.
Rainbow leader Fiona said: “We meet in a hall weekly but during COVID we carried on meeting over zoom doing challenges, craft and even cooking pizzas. For remembrance last year we made flower arrangements for our neighbours or someone that needed some cheering up.
The Rainbows are currently working towards their ‘Be Well’ badge and learning about themselves in the process.
Fiona added: ”My favourite thing about the Rainbows is seeing the girls grow in confidence and seeing them happy even when times are tough.”
