Electric Umbrella, a charity based in Hertfordshire, are hosting special singalong livestreams every Friday evening, which are completely free to join in, with special guests along the way.
Watford FC legend Luther Blissett, who has worked alongside the charity throughout the year, has announced the wonderful opportunity for people who have loved ones with dementia to join in every Friday for the community event.
On a Facebook post, Luther said: “As many of you know, I am a huge supporter of Electric Umbrella and the work they do. Many of you will have seen them during our Big Bold Community Quiz. Right now, we are seeing the elderly and particularly people with dementia missing out on clubs and activities that keep them engaged with the things they love.
“Watford is the first dementia friendly town and so it is really wonderful to be able to tell you about this golden-hearted idea for our loved ones suffering with dementia or those in care homes.
“Help your loved ones to join in, tell carers and let your local care home know you can make memories with Electric Umbrella at 4:30 on a Friday for their superb singalong!”
