A Watford charity are “very keen” to host an annual running event this Spring, after being unable to do so last year due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The 10k running fundraiser, organised by Watford Mencap on Monday, May 2 at Cassiobury Park.
Watford Mencap supports local people with learning disabilities. They provide a range of quality services and activities to help people to live the life they want for themselves.
The ever-popular bluebell route attracts runners of all ages and abilities – with 1k and 10k courses.
Both runs are chipped timed, and all runners will receive a bespoke medal.
A spokesperson for the event said: “All money raised will help us to provide vital services to around 800 local people with learning disabilities each year, helping them to develop skills and form friendships that will help them to live the life they want for themselves.
“We are grateful to Warner Bros Studios Leavesden for their support of this event.”
