Hemel Hempstead Rotary has distributed £7,700 seven charities at the club’s annual handover meeting.
The meeting was held at the Holiday Inn in Hemel Hempstead yesterday evening (Tuesday, July 1).
Outgoing president Martin Hann made the presentations to seven charities: DENS, Dacorum Community Trust, ShelterBox, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, Medical Detection Dogs, and the Rotary program for the eradication of polio.
These distributions were in addition to the distributions made earlier in the year, totalling £13,500, to 52 smaller organisations and international distributions of £1,400 from the proceeds of the club’s annual Santa Sleigh collections.
