GCSE RESULTS: Hatch End school in top 20 per cent of schools for exam results

Hatch End is very proud of its Year 11 cohort, who have worked hard and achieved great GCSE results.

The results put them in the top 20 per cent of schools nationally for progress. Many will be continuing with Hatch End as they enter the Sixth Form.

The school thanked staff, students and parents and says “this is the culmination of hard work by all”.

Among the many individual performances, they highlight a few of their high achievers:

  • Sushain achieved four Grade 9s and four Grade 8s across his 11 GCSEs.
  • Arnav achieved two Grade 9s and an impressive seven Grade 8s. Both Sushain and Arnav plan to study Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics.
  • Jaiden achieved four Grade 9s, four Grade 8s and three Grade 7s, and will also continue with Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Physics.
  • Sviatoslav, who joined Hatch End just two years ago from Ukraine with very little English, achieved four Grade 9s and will study Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Geography. Hatch End say: “His determination to master both a new language and curriculum is truly inspiring.”
  • Aisha secured three Grade 9s, four Grade 8s plus strong vocational results, and will go on to study Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Psychology.
  • Aliah achieved two Grade 9s, five Grade 8s and four further GCSEs, and will study science A Levels alongside Maths and Spanish.

In addition, Freddie, Alfie, Sviatoslav, Fatima, Yousif, Mohammed, Deshan, Aliah, Arnav and Caelan all achieved grades that beat their targets by two grades, giving them incredible progress scores.

The school added: “Many students today have given shout-outs to the amazing support, encouragement and considerable time that their teachers dedicated to supporting their study and we are very proud to be celebrating these results with our wonderful students.”
