The beloved Chorleywood War Memorial Hall is undergoing an exciting refurbishment, fresh for September.
The project includes the installation of UPVC windows, a fully refurbished kitchen featuring modern appliances and tiling, and a new fire detection and alarm system that meets safety standards.
Works were organised by the Parish Council, who own the hall on behalf of all residents in Chorleywood.
Clerk of Chorleywood Parish Council, Sharon Long, said: “I am hopeful these improvements will enable the hall to become future-proof. We are looking to source more renewable forms of energy, allowing a variety of people to hire and use it.”
The refurbishment will be funded by the Community Infrastructure monies, of which the Council receives every year.
The War Memorial Hall is a key community space and the improvements aim to enhance safety and usability for all – from clubs and classes to public events and private hire.
The works aim to be complete by September, and residents and visitors can soon enjoy their newly improved hall.
