A newly opened opticians hosted a Halloween themed grand opening for the community so they could get to know everybody.
Dipesh Patel, owner of Eye 2 Eye Opticians in Bushey Heath, welcomed over 350 people to the official launch which was full of Halloween decorations, a face painter and loads of sweets.
Due to the party’s success on October 31, Dipesh now wants to make his Halloween party an annual event.
He said: “It went better than expected. It was great to meet so many people of Bushey Heath and it was even better to get to know them.
“It really was a great event, we had a face painter there so if any children or parents wanted to get their face painted they could for free. We had a candy floss machine with so many fantastic flavours and we also had some amazing decorations.
“It was pretty phenomenal. A lot of people who were trick or treating decided to pop in as our door’s were open to everyone.”
Inside the shop was cobwebs dangling from the ceiling, skeletons, warning signs and all the staff dressed up in spooky outfits.
Dipesh said the whole idea behind the party was to integrate with the community.
“We are now planning to do this every year. We only opened two months ago and we wanted to integrate with the community and become a company which everyone feels they can connect with.”
The party, which lasted for four hours, had great feedback from everyone who attended.
