Berkhamsted Cricket Club (BCC) have appealed for players of any experience level to join their women’s team ahead of the first Hertfordshire Women’s Cricket League (HWCL) season.
In the club’s 150th anniversary year, BCC II are entering the Championship Division, the second tier of cricket in the county.
Other clubs entering the league include Abbots Langley, Tring Park, Redbourn, Flitwick, and Luton Women & Girls.
With qualified ex-international coaches overseeing winter sessions, the next session hosted by BCC will take place at Knox-Johnston Sports Centre from 5pm to 6.30pm on Sunday, February 23.
There will also be weekly sessions in the summer and an additional nets session.
In a post on X, the club said: “We are looking forward to participating in this inaugural season of the HWCL.”
For the men’s sides, the teams have been confirmed to be playing in Division 1 for the first team, the 2s in Division 5A, 3s in Division 8 West, and 4s in Division 12 West.
