A new era has started for Hemel Hempstead Town FC, as the club’s stadium has been christened with a new name.
Their Vauxhall Road ground has been renamed the Focus Community Arena after a new sponsorship with Hemel Hempstead-based Focus Rigging.
As well as a new name, the stadium has also undergone massive refurbishment by Focus Rigging over the summer and is now one of the best in the National League South.
Club chairman Dave Boggins said: “I’m delighted to welcome Focus Rigging as our new stadium sponsor.
“It was important for me to ensure that the stadium sponsorship partner reflected our ambitions.”
Gary McMahon, managing director of Focus Rigging, said: “The opportunity to sponsor and name the ground was a no-brainer.
“We want this club and arena to be welcoming to all comers who leave with a positive experience.”
On the pitch, The Tudors made a dream start to the season as they beat promotion favourites Yeovil Town 1-0 at home.
In front of a packed crowd, Joe Iaciofano got the winner while former Love Island star Montel McKenzie won man of the match.
