Over 300 golf clubs were marked for free at events held in Bushey by the Safer Neighbourhood Team. PCSOs Carole Bull, Esther Ainsley, Jake Pike and Chris Hammond spent the day (Saturday, June 13th) at Bushey Golf and Country Club and Bushey Hall Golf Club, marking golf clubs and giving out essential advice about keeping golfing equipment safe. By marking the golf clubs, if they are ever stolen and subsequently recovered, the police will be able to return them to their rightful owner. PCSO Bull, said: “As this was the first time we have done golf club marking events we were a little nervous about how many people would attend, but the turnout of people who came along to get their golf clubs marked was great. “Whilst people were there we were also able to provide them with essential security advice too.” Register your golf clubs on www.immobilise.com, a free online property database which police use to check stolen property. That way, if your clubs do get stolen, you have more chance of them being returned to you.
