A martial arts club in Croxley celebrated eight years of operation last month, hosting a small celebration with all the students and their parents.
Rusty Taekwondo Club was opened in 2014 by owner and coach Russell Lesser as a way to teach his own children, Ty and Seren. Ty has since gone on to compete for the club on a national level.
From humble beginnings with only eight students and one class in small Watford hall, the club now hosts four sessions a week on Mondays and Fridays, an has more than 60 students attending.
Speaking to CROXLEYnews about running the club, Russell said: “I thoroughly enjoy teaching the children, even though its hard work, I wouldn’t change it for the world as this is my passion. It’s all about them having fun at a young age with good discipline involved.
“Parents bring their children to Rusty Taekwondo for so many different reasons and I feel I have helped in many ways and it’s a delight to see their progress!”
