A Pinner resident is set to release the final novel in his quartet, marking the end of a chapter.
Former solicitor John Matlin is releasing his next novel End Game in January, which is the last book in the Driscoll Quartet focusing on journalist David Driscoll.
In the novel, Driscoll finds himself investigating the murders of two people, including the Democratic candidate for California governor, with only one piece of physical evidence.
Driscoll ends up assisting the replacement candidate and the San Francisco Police Department to help solve the murder.
Scott Lucas, professor of internal politics at the Clinton Institute at University College, Dublin, praised the novel.
He said: “Politics, murder, and the darker side of a bright California – End Game is faster than a Disneyland roller coaster and just as exciting.”
