Published on: 6th January 2021   |   By: Amneet Kaur   |   Category: Uncategorized

Dacorum Borough Council’s annual real Christmas tree recycling day will take place on Sunday, January 10 this year.

COVID-19 safeguarding measures have also been introduced to make sure people stay safe.

The dropping locations, which are in Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring are all outside and social distancing will be maintained.

People are encouraged to remain in their vehicles and wear face coverings when speaking with the crews.

Bags will be provided for tree chippings.

People can drop off the trees at  Cupid Green Depot, Redbourn Road, in Hemel Hempstead, from 8.30am to 3pm.

Canal Fields, Broadwater, Berkhamsted, from 8.30am to 3pm and Tring Garden Centre, Bulbourne Road, Tring, from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

You can also take your tree to a recycling centre. Trees left at any other recycling sites will be treated as fly-tipping and you could be prosecuted.

Alternatively, you can cut your tree up and put it in your green bin ready for when garden waste collections begin again in spring.
