Police in Watford have seized drugs during an operation in Watford today (Friday, August 11) after acting on intelligence and concerns from the community.
Officers entered an address in Bushey Mill Crescent at approximately 11am and carried out a search before seizing a quantity of cannabis, drug paraphernalia, phones, SIM cards and cash. Enquiries are ongoing.
PC Yasmin Lermer, from the Watford Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), led the operation.
She said: “Drugs and the criminality associated with them causes misery among local communities. I hope this operation reassures members of the public that we are listening to their concerns and taking action against those involved.
“Several teams came together to carry out the operation and this was key to its success. We will continue to monitor the situation and act where necessary.”
Officers from the following teams were involved: the SNT, Watford Scorpion Team and Three Rivers Scorpion Team.
