A driver fled the scene of a collision in Abbots Langley where they hit a lamppost.
Police were called to Tibbs Hill Road just after 9.15pm on August 6 to a blue Vauxhall Corsa which had crashed.
The lamppost was severely damaged and had to be removed.
The driver had left the scene before police arrival and despite a search of the area, no one was traced.
Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver and ensure their welfare.
The vehicle was recovered by 10.20pm.
