Members of the Abbots Langley community recently came together for Emergency Services Day.
Taking place at the police station on Gallows Hill Lane between 11am and 2pm on Friday, August 4, residents who braved the wet weather could speak to a variety of Hertfordshire’s emergency services personnel about their work.
Aside from Three Rivers Police, other groups who attended included Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, the East of England Ambulance Service, Watford Community Housing, and the local Neighbourhood Watch.
They were joined by the police recruitment team; two dogs from Herts Police’s RAPPAW scheme, Bear and Fly, along with their owners Kim and Vickie; and PC Andrews with his dog Scully from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Dog Unit, who gave a demonstration of Scully’s crime-fighting abilities.
Three Rivers Police are hoping to hold similar events in the future. To see updates, please visit
