Rickmansworth’s Watersmeet Theatre is set to play host to brand-new sketch comedy Housewives on Holiday, starring Julie Coombe, Josephine Partridge and legendary Nolan Sister, Maureen Nolan.

The play, which is a sequel to the 2019 hit show Hormonal Housewives, begins it’s UK tour in the town with a one-night-only show on Thursday, May 12, and promises fun, songs and lots of laughs.

Written by Julie Coombe and directed by John MacIsaac, the show’s star player is Maureen Nolan, famous for being part of the iconic all-sisters band, the The Nolans, who remain one of the world’s biggest-selling girl groups. Speaking to RICKYnews, she talked about what attracted her to the production.

“I’ve done a lot of all-women plays for an all-women audience. I really enjoy them. I love how women come out to support them, and I like seeing them relax and enjoy themselves while watching. It’s always a genre that I’m attracted to.”

“People can expect many laughs from the show. We think it’s funny. Things they [the audience] can relate to, a little bit of singing. Lots of laughs really.”

When asked what it was like to perform and begin the production at Rickmansworth’s Watersmeet Theatre, Maureen said: “It’s a beautiful theatre and it’s a gorgeous town. We’re staying in a lovely house all together while doing rehearsals. There’s a really nice feel about Rickmansworth.”

Tickets for the show cost £27, and can be bought at Watersmeet Theatre’s website. The show is for one-night-only, and starts at 7:30pm on Thursday, May 12.
