Buckinghamshire Council reassured Chalfont St Peter residents following the recent flooding in the village.
A statement by a council spokesperson read: “We would like to advise you that further to the recent flooding in Chalfont St Peter, we are aware of the issues within the vicinity and would like to advise that due to this we have amended our cyclic gulley cleanse programme and will be attending to various sites within the next few weeks.
“Please Note – Our large tankers will require access to be unrestricted in order to access the drainage chambers and this can sometimes be difficult should parked cars not adhere to the parking restrictions put in place prior to works.
“Please do encourage residents to adhere to any restrictions put in place to enable us to clear as many gullies as possible with each visit and ensure that a minimal amount are missed.
“We shall forward an update of all gullies cleaned as part of this programme once we have attended to the various sites.”
