CROXFEST CANCELLED: This year’s Croxley Green festival called off due to pandemic

Published on: 8th June 2020   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Uncategorized

Keen Croxfest goers will have to wait an extra year for the 10th event, as the pandemic has forced organisers to reschedule.

The popular annual music festival, which is held on The Green in Croxley Green, was set to take place on September  5, but the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 means the committee had to cancel the 2020 event.

In a statement earlier this month, the committee said: “It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce that Croxfest 2020 has been cancelled due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19.

“We’ve been closely monitoring this unprecedented situation over the past few months and we were hoping that we could deliver another wonderful festival for you.

“However, it’s become clear that it’s just not possible for this year’s festival to go ahead. Our priority is to make sure you all stay safe and keep well.

“We would like to take this time to thank everyone who supports and takes part in Croxfest and we look forward to bringing The Green to life with the sound of music and community spirit in 2021.

Best wishes to you all. The Croxfest Committee.”

This year’s event was set to feature the likes of the Candidates, Soulfunks, Stonegarden, Nightjar, Lost Near Blue Ape, Guilty Parties and The Skandal.
