Children in The Chalfonts who have a talent for writing stories have the chance to write a Christmas themed story.

Little Chalfont Community Library are calling on children aged between five and 12 a story of between 250 and 500 words, either typed or neatly handwritten on paper on the topic “What I’d like to happen in Little Chalfont to make the Christmas holidays an exciting and memorable time”.

There are two age categories – from five to eight and nine to 12 and each entry must contain author’s name, age, school attended, name of parent/guardian and contact details.

The stories will be judged and prizes presented by local author Meriet Duncan (Betsie Valentine and the Honeybees).

Winners and runners up will be notified on December 16 and invited to receive their awards on December 18 at the library.

Entries must be handed into the library before Tuesday, December 10.
