An Amersham-based home care company has triumphed at the Buckinghamshire Business Awards.
At Aylesbury Waterside Theatre on Wednesday, October 9, Ashridge Home Care won first place in both the Excellence in Customer Service and the Community Champion categories.
Based in Amersham, Ashridge Home Care provides more than 100 carers for clients in the local area. Their central goal is to keep people in their homes where possible, including older people and those living with conditions such as Parkinson’s.
Being recognised in the Community Champion category was of particular significance to the company due to the importance that it places on community.
Speaking to AMERSHAMnews Abbi Langan, Ashridge’s community partnership manager, said: “We want to keep people in their homes, active in the community and keep their personal networks strong.
“It’s such an important aspect of the work that we do as a company, building and maintaining community networks.”
Founder of Ashridge Home Care Trudi Scrivener said: “Community is vital to a person’s wellbeing, and we strive to maintain strong relationships with local providers and charities.
“From a home care provider’s perspective, we are working to raise awareness that there are various options to suit elderly and vulnerable people when life starts to become a struggle.
“Going into a residential care home does not have to be the only option. Everyone has the right to stay at home with professional help to remain as independent as possible.”
The company was also recognised for its excellent customer service. Abbi said that it was “really incredible to receive the accolade”.
She added: “We have real faith in our team and take pride in the office work.”
