Classified Football Club (CFC) have already established themselves as rising stars in the Sunday Football League, just one year after forming the team.
The Hemel and Bovingdon based team of friends are currently in Division 3 of Berkhamsted Sunday Football League after forming in January 2021 and playing their first match in July.
Toby Woodward, club chairman said: “Classified FC is built off of an initial core group of 12 friends from Hemel that was formed by playing football as children.
“We are very keen to keep a club philosophy that we have established from the very beginning, that we are first and foremost friends and family. We all love our football, all strive for success and all crave the competitive nature that resides in The Berkhamsted Sunday Football League.”
The teams most memorable match of the season so far was a 5-0 win over Ashridge Albion, where captain Luke Simpson scored two goals, alongside Ed Shaw, Kieran Donaldson and Rory Donaldson, who all ended up on the scoresheet.
CFC will round off a successful year with a sold-out event ‘Classified’s big fat quiz of the year’ hosted by Harry Franklin and Toby Woodward on December 18 at Bovingdon Football Club.
Toby added: “We are super excited about the prospect of next season, to really push on up the league with a committed and regular team of players, along with a number of players joining the team full time that currently are only able to play part-time due to university or work commitments.”
