Published on: 29th December 2025   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Featured

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following an altercation in South Oxhey.

At around 5.10pm on Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25), officers were called to reports of an altercation between two people at the parade of shops on Little Oxhey Lane.

A man aged in his 40s sustained stab wounds and was later located by officers in hospital. His injuries were not life‑threatening, and he was discharged a few hours later.

A 17-year-old boy from South Oxhey was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent and possession of a knife in a public place. He is currently on bail with strict conditions pending further enquiries.

Investigator Sian Smith, from the Three Rivers Criminal Investigation Department, said: “Our investigation is ongoing, and I am asking anyone with information to please get in touch.

“We understand several people were in the area at the time, some of whom reportedly tried to defuse the situation, and [we] would urge them to get in contact.

“I appreciate the nature of this incident is concerning, but I would urge people not to speculate on social media. If you have information, please share it with us.”
