The Chorleywood Dogs Trust charity shop hit a landmark figure this month after raising a quarter of a million pound.
The shop first opened in June 2014 and since then has raised an incredible amount for dogs in need.
The shop has a huge range of barking mad donations, with some of the strangest including a Formula One tyre used by Nigel Mansell, a dominatrix outfit, bed pans and even some ukuleles.
Chorleywood’s shop manager Nick Jenner said: “It’s fair to say we have had some really strange donations into the shop but we really appreciate that people think of us – despite how unusual the items may be.
“Since opening in 2014 we have really become part of the community and attended many local events that have raised over £17, 000 all on their own. Chorleywood really has welcomed us with open arms.”
If you would like to visit the Chorleywood Dogs Trust charity shop at Shire Lane, Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, WD3 5RB they are open Monday – Saturday, 9am – 5pm.
