Chilfest has announced its lineup for this year’s festival taking place in Tring, Hertfordshire, on 1-2 July 2022. The two-day retro festival which takes place at Pendley Manor, Tring, is returning after a two-year break during the pandemic.

On Saturday, July 2, guests will enjoy music for over 11 hours, the event’s longest lineup to date. Opening the show is local artist Tony Hadley, ex-frontman of Spandau Ballet, who returns to Chilfest having performed at the show in 2018 and 2016 as well as the inaugural festival in 2013.

Saturday’s headline act, Scottish rock duo The Proclaimers, will play at Chilfest for the first time. ABC, Maxi Priest, Toploader, Peter Hook & The Light, The Real Thing, Bad Manners, Toyah and Heatwave make up the eclectic lineup offering something for everyone.

Friday’s fan favourite Totally Tribute is back, and better than ever, with the Bootleg Beatles, A Tribute to Amy Winehouse, Noasis, Who are You and ABBA REVIVAL.

Steve Butcher, Event Director, Chilfest said: “Canceling the show for the past two years was incredibly difficult for us, so we are so excited to welcome everyone back this year. For both those in the entertainment industry and music fans, this summer will be the perfect opportunity to get back to enjoying live events.

“As it’s our tenth anniversary we really wanted to make it bigger than ever. We have extended the running time so that on Saturday we now start at midday and go right through till 23.00. We have worked hard to secure a lineup that has something for everyone, as well as a great selection of food and drink to make it a brilliant day out for all. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back and also host new fans for the first time.”

Chilfest has seen over 68,000 attendees and 71 artists over its nine years. In addition, the organisers have raised over £30,000 for charity, recently raising funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee with the first Chilfest Club Night.

The festival was established to provide a platform for music from across the decades to attract both those who enjoyed it the first time around and also for new fans to discover. Previous acts include The Human League, Little Mix, UB40, OMD, Sister Sledge, Billy Ocean and Rick Astley.

On Saturday guests will be able to enjoy a host of refreshments from 16 food stalls including Caribbean Fusion Street food, Greek cosine, Hog roast, BBQ, pizza and more. In addition, there will be a gin bar, cocktail bar, the Carlsberg Bus and a main bar to provide drinks.

Adult tickets are £26.50 for Friday and £52.50 for Saturday. Family and children’s tickets are also available along with luxury loo passes. Tickets can be purchased from:  https://chilfest.co.uk/chilfest-buy-tickets
