CHANGING ROOM REVAMP: Berkhamsted-based football club thrilled with new facilities

Published on: 28th November 2020   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Uncategorized

A Berkhamsted football club have been reaping the rewards of a competition win which saw their club receive a major investment.

Gossoms End FC, who play in Division One of the Berkhamsted Sunday Football League, were the beneficiaries of men’s care brand, Harry’s, grassroots football competition.

The UK-wide competition, known as Football’s Other Guys, offered a grand prize of a rejuvenated changing room and a sponsorship deal worth £32,000 to the grassroots club that was most deserving of it.

Having won the competition a couple of months ago, the changing room has now been completely revamped thanks to Harry’s, Anyways Creative and Commissioned by You.

As you can see – it’s absolutely top quality.

George Guest, Gossoms End secretary and player/manager, told BerkhamstedNews: “The changing rooms are absolutely unbelievable. We’ve always had a top facility in Berkhamsted, but now it feels like our own Wembley Stadium.

“Both the away changing room has been made up too, but it’s the home one where they really went to town.

There are individual units for each player, lovely benches and a quality shower.

“We’re extremely thankful to Harry’s and the other guys involved. We also have to thank Dacorum Borough Council – we lease the facilities from them and we’re grateful for their involvement and support.

“We’ve got a continuing sponsorship with Harry’s – they’re our kit sponsor and they’ve been sending us plenty of their products over the past few months – so we’re probably the cleanest team in the county!”

While the players haven’t yet had a chance to use the facilities due to the second lockdown, they’ll no doubt be even more excited to get playing again now.
