An inspirational boy from Bushey has raised vital funds for charity after completing a 10k challenge.
Isaac Griffin, who is just nine-years-old, ran twice as far as he had ever ran before to raise £370 for Red Trust in Bushey.
The challenge was all Isaac’s idea after he was struck by the amazing work by Red Trust who run a food bank as well as offering support for anyone in the community who needs help.
His mum, Philippa, was beaming with pride for her son.
She said: “He has never run further than 5k before so it was definitely out of his comfort zone.
“He did brilliantly and finished in one hour and 15 minutes, with very tired legs. He raised a great amount and we are very proud of him.”
Meanwhile selfless Isaac told My Bushey News: “I thought of the idea as I wanted to help local people.
“I was tired at the end but proud of myself as I’d only ever done 5k before this.
“I enjoyed it and definitely to do more challenges for charity.”
What a great achievement. Well done Isaac!
