A renowned soloist and the finalist of a prestigious competition will feature in Chorleywood Music’s upcoming concert.
A Celebration of Saint-Saëns will take place at The Great Hall at Merchant Taylors’ School at 5pm on Sunday, February 15.
The concert will celebrate the music of revered French composer Camille Saint-Saëns and will feature his Danse Macabre, Piano Concerto No. 2 and Symphony No. 3.
Daniel Hogan from Little Chalfont will conduct the concert. Having performed with the Oxford University Orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Daniel was recently selected as one of 20 finalists for the Donatella Flick Conducting Competition.
Soloist Thomas Kelly is returning to play with Chorleywood Music once again. A highly regarded young concert pianist, he has won numerous international competitions and has performed at the Royal Festival Hall and Paris Conservatoire.
The organ symphony will be played at the concert by a Year 13 organ scholar from Merchant Taylors’.
