North Watford resident and Liberal Democrat campaigner Ian Stotesbury has hit out at the county council refusal to fix a string of potholes in Salisbury Road, North Watford.
Having been reported on the county fault reporting site the reply came back saying, “We have assessed the issue and it is considered safe. No further action is planned.”.
Ian Stotesbury hit out saying, “This is a disgrace there are metres of long holes in the road which is the one-way road exit from the Bradshaw block of streets and heavily used by cyclists and drivers. To claim nothing needs to be done is disgrace.
“Whilst there might be no immediate danger it should be programmed for a repair not ignored as the county plan to do. To make matters worse this road was resurfaced not that long ago as evidence by the lose stone chips everyone, clearly it was an inadequate job.”
The Liberal Democrats have now made a formal complaint about the lack of repairs.
