Bushey has never been afraid of being the star of the show, having featured in many TV shows and films across the years, and the town is now going to be back on screen once again.
In October, St James’s Church in Bushey was once again adopted by the cast and crew of EastEnders, becoming Walford’s famous St Cuthbert’s Parish Church.
Although it has not been confirmed which scenes were being filmed in Bushey, the church has often been used to film wedding and funeral scenes for the popular TV soap. This includes the iconic wedding of Peggy and Archie Mitchell in 2009.
Images shared by Father Stevenson suggest that the filming took place inside the church.
The church shared on social media: “It is always a joy to have the BBC here filming EastEnders for so many millions of people to enjoy.”
EastEnders airs on BBC One on Monday to Thursday, at around 7.30pm.
