Bournemouth 3-3 Watford

Published on: 3rd January 2019   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Watford FC

A classic on the south coast last night saw Watford emerge with just a share of the spoils after they had been two goals up.

Kick-off was delayed at the Vitality Stadium but it was worth the wait. After a Troy Deeney double put the Hornets in charge after less than half an hour, Nathan Ake put the home side back into contention and England striker Callum Wilson put the Cherries back on level terms.

Then, in an incredible few minutes, Ken Sema put the visitors back in front before Ryan Fraser fired into the bottom corner.

Deeney was denied a winner five minutes from time after his effort was ruled out for a foul on Nathan Ake.

The game was the first Premier League match to see six goals scored since May 2015 and, as a result, Watford move up to eighth in the table.
