Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the theft of a bike in Bushey.
The incident occurred on Watling Farm Close at around 11.15am on Sunday, May 4.
It is reported that the victim, a man aged in his 50s, was riding his electric bike when he was approached by a man on a motorbike who threatened him with a claw hammer.
The victim was then pushed to the ground while sitting on the bike, before the offender stole the electric bike, putting it on the back of his motorcycle and riding off.
The victim was left with a minor injury to his leg.
Detective Constable Gemma Haines, from the Hertsmere Local Crime Unit, said: “I am appealing to witnesses of this incident and anyone who might have information about the incident itself or the offender to contact me.
“I am releasing an image of the electric bike to try and jog people’s memory.”
