For anyone who loves a stroll through Pinner Memorial Park, there’s a transformation quietly underway.
Pinner Memorial Pond has been fully drained as part of Harrow Council’s £6million parks improvement programme, giving the beloved local feature a well-deserved makeover.
The works include repairing a persistent leak, desilting the pond bed, and installing a new eco-friendly liner.
Work is designed to ensure the pond remains a vibrant habitat for ducks, fish and other wildlife for years to come.
Contractors are also restoring the surrounding banks and walls, promising a refreshed, picturesque space for residents to enjoy.
Although the pond area is temporarily fenced off, the park remains open for walkers, joggers, and families. By late November, visitors can expect a revitalised pond, sparkling and full, ready to be enjoyed once again.
This project is part of a wider vision by Harrow Council to invest in local green spaces, helping to keep Pinner’s outdoor spaces beautiful, safe and welcoming for everyone.
