From Garston to stages across the world, singer Asha Banks has always carried a piece of home with her.
Those who grew up with her may remember a bright, determined girl with a love of storytelling and music, which are traits that have shaped her journey both on screen and in the studio.
Asha often shares glimpses of her life with fans, posting reflections on creativity, self-discovery, and the small moments that inspire her songs. These themes are explored in her new EP How Real Was It?, released in November.
Speaking about the song, Asha has described her recent work as “more nostalgic, looking back at the feelings and situations I was in, and how I’m digesting them now”.
The EP offers a revealing and thoughtful, introspective side to her artistry. Her love of music and storytelling goes hand in hand with her curiosity about people and life – something she channels into every lyric.
Singles such as Mascara Tears and Rerun are supposed to feel like relatable, tender, and authentic personal letters. Now, she is taking her music on the How Real Was It? tour, which will take the artist to stages across Europe.
The tour kicks off on Saturday, April 4, in Stockholm, before heading to Berlin, Amsterdam, and Paris, and culminating in a London finale on Sunday, March 15.
