This year saw another very successful edition of The Beer Festival in the Church.
Held from October 10 to 12, All Saints’ Church in Croxley joined forces with Scott McGarvie and his team at the Anchor, Tap & Bottle to put on the fourth edition of what has become a much-loved local event.
Once again, the Anchor provided and served a wide selection of real ale, craft beers, wine, spirits and soft drinks. The team at All Saints’ Church, led by Ben Guest and Sam Beard, converted the church into an atmospheric venue, as well as providing a range of delicious food.
The event opened on the Friday night and was instantly packed. Locals and beer enthusiasts from further afield came to enjoy a drink in the historic church, with many commenting on how wonderful the event was and how beautiful the church was as a venue.
The Saturday continued to be busy with live music from local band Now and Thens in the evening, ensuring a lively atmosphere. With the weather being warm and sunny, the garden filled up and by Saturday evening, all the beer had been sold, meaning the Sunday session had to be cancelled.
Ben said: “We have been overwhelmed by the love and support for this event, and although we’re disappointed to have cancelled the Sunday, we are delighted that it has been so successful.”
