A man was jailed for more than four years on Friday, October 10, for causing serious injuries to a woman with a glass in a London Colney pub.
St Albans Crown Court heard how Charlie Imossi, 29, threw a glass at a woman, causing serious injuries to her face at the White Horse pub in London Colney on July 5 this year.
The shards of glass hit another woman.
Imossi, whose last known address was Danziger Way in Borehamwood, pleaded guilty to section 18 GBH and battery.
CID Detective Emily Foley said: “Imossi made multiple advances towards the victim and when rejected, he pursued her for over 15 months, whereby he persistently attempted to message the victim from different social media platforms and call her off “no caller ID”. When the victim did not respond, Imossi contacted her family and friends in attempt to gain a reaction from her. During this time, the unwanted behaviour continued to escalate and he threatened to harm her.
“No-one should have to put up with harassment or fear that by saying no would cause them any harm.
“I hope this sentence is a clear message to everyone that injuring someone because of rejection may result in them spending time in prison.”
Imossi was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing.
