The Chalfont St Giles Village Show will return later this year, after an extended break due to the pandemic.
The traditional village event has been a staple in the community calendar for more than 150 years, and organisers say they are thrilled the show can once again return for the first time since 2019.
It is set to take place on Saturday, September 3, at Stone and Silsden Meadows in Chalfont St Giles and the theme this year is pirates. It will focus on the traditional heritage of the show, one of horticultural and craft competitions and residents can get involved in a number of ways.
Attendees can showcase their talents taking part in various competitions from photography to beekeeping. The full list of competitions and events is currently being finalised by event organisers.
Each year, the show donates a percentage of the takings to local charities.
