Abbots Langley Gardening Society have announced its winners for their 2019 Autumn show.
Hosted at the community centre on September 14, entries showcased the finest plants, crafts and household skills in the numerous classes.
This year saw plenty of new faces which has given the society a confidence boost in the community.
Committee member Pam Cotton said: “It appears that the village is realising that we have a thriving community within the Gardening Society.
“There were an excellent number of entries spread over more members than in recent years and more children entering as well so thank you all for your support. There were some outstanding entries.”
Paul Brooks the Lay Preacher of the Baptist church gave out the prizes to all the winners.
Cup winners were: Colin Verge, Jane Lay, Mandy Floyd, Ethel Amos, Geoff Clinton, Brian Smith, Adrienne Barnes, Yvonne Merry, Sylvia Clinton.
The children’s category winners included: Charlie Yamaguchi-North, Georgina Smith, Madison Dunstone and India Dunstone.
In the Schools Potato Challenge, Breakspear School won the highest weight of potatoes and Divine Saviour School achieved the highest number of potatoes.
